Power of Mentor/Guru

Posted: October 26, 2010 in Uncategorized

Mentor is none other than GURU..thats wht i belive., Look at this amazing story

There was a  boy who took his cows to the meadows every morning and brought them back to the cowshed at the end of the day. One evening, as he was tying the cows up for the night, the boy found that one of them was missing her rope. He feared that she might run away, but it was too late to go and buy a new rope. The boy didn’t know what to do, so he went to a wise man who lived nearby and sought his advice. The wise man told the boy to pretend to tie the cow, and make sure that the cow saw him doing it. The boy did as the wise man suggested and pretended to tie the cow. The next morning the boy discovered that the cow had remained still throughout the night. He untied all the cows as usual, and they all went outside. He was about to go to the meadows when he noticed that the cow with the missing rope was still in the cowshed. She was standing on the same spot where she had been all night. He tried to coax her to join the herd, but she wouldn’t budge. The boy was perplexed. He went back to the wise man who said, “The cow still thinks she is tied up. Go back and pretend to untie her.” The boy did as he was told, and the cow happily left the cowshed.

This is what the guru/mentor does with the ego of the disciple/mentees. The guru/mentor helps untie that which was never there. Like the cow, due to our ignorance, we believe that we are bound by the ego when, in fact, we are completely free. We need to be convinced of this, however…..

Hope you loved this…l really liked it….

Truly Amazing…..

Was going through very interesting thing….World’s most expensive Footwear

A pair of solid gold, diamond-encrusted shoes worth £100,000……(RS.73,45,789/-) has gone on sale in the UK. The hand-made Eternal Diamond Stilettos, which are the most expensive footwear in the world, are covered in thousands of diamonds. A team of goldsmiths craft the shoes from solid sheets of gold, before 2200 diamonds are set by hand, and each pair takes 100 hours to be completed….wow..amazing…this shows how much time they spend on “PERFECTION”

Most Important thing is So far, five of the sparkly stilettos, which are said to be on the must-have list of Victoria Beckham, Paris Hilton and Cheryl Cole, have been sold. Created by designer Christopher Michael Shellis and produced in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, central England, the shoes are then sold through The House of Borgezie

hmmm..very important USP….. The dazzling heels also come with a 1000-year guarantee…..very good guarantee…..

Now you must be very exited to see the Picture of this great Footware….your wait is over…

World's most expensive footwear

AB’s Stroke: Shoes are something women find totally irresistible….genuinely you can judge the class of the women by their footwear….the reaon why they find it irresistable is that..they wear it and “HIT” their  husbands/boy friends with it…dual benifits….And the best part of this shoe is this will be the only footware which would be in our Lockers than in a Shoestand….imagine you going to temple with this sandals…..”nice imaganitation”….come on with this sandals on no girl would go to temple….And Thank god my wife has not seen this Sandals….even 1/1000 of this cost is still unbearable for me..i  go bankrupt….But still What a Sandal….

Chānakya (Sanskrit: चाणक्य Cāṇakya) (c. 350–283 BCE) was an adviser and prime minister[1] to the first Maurya Emperor Chandragupta (c. 340-293 BCE), and was the chief architect of his rise to power. Kautilya and Vishnugupta, the names by which the ancient Indian political treatise called the Arthaśāstra identifies its author, are traditionally identified with Chanakya.[2] Chanakya has been considered as the pioneer of the field of economics and political science, having first written about the subject a millennium and a half before Ibn Khaldun’s Muqaddimah.[3][4][5][6] In the Western world, he has been referred to as The Indian Machiavelli, although Chanakya’s works predate Machiavelli’s by about 1,800 years.[7] Chanakya was a teacher in Takṣaśila, an ancient centre of learning, and was responsible for the creation of Mauryan empire, the first of its kind on the Indian subcontinent. (Source : Wikipedia)

Some Legends Abouts Chanakya

  • Chanakya was born with a complete set of teeth, a sign that he would become king, which is inappropriate for a Brahmin like Chanakya. Chāṇakya’s teeth were therefore broken and it was prophesied that he will rule through another.
  • The Nanda King throws Chānakya out of his court, prompting Chānakya to swear revenge.
  • Chānakya searches for one worthy for him to rule through. Chānakya encounters a young Chandragupta Maurya who is a born leader even as a child.
  • Chānakya’s initial attempt to overthrow Nanda fails, whereupon he comes across a mother scolding her child for burning himself by eating from the middle of a bun or bowl of porridge rather than the cooler edge. Chāṇakya realizes his initial strategic error and, instead of attacking the heart of Nanda territory, slowly chips away at its edges.
  • Chānakya changed his alliance with the mountain king Parvata due to his obstinacy and non-adherence to the principles of the treaty as agreed.
  • Chānakya enlists the services of a fanatical weaver to rid the kingdom of rebels.
  • Chānakya adds poison to the food eaten by Chandragupta Maurya, now king, in order to make him immune. Unaware, Chandragupta feeds some of his food to his queen, who is in her ninth month of pregnancy. In order to save the heir to the throne, Chānakya cuts the queen open and extracts the fetus, who is named because he was touched by a drop (bindu) of blood having poison.
  • Chānakya’s political rivalry with Subandhu leads to his death.

Chanakya was an astute brahmin and shrewd observer of nature. Once, it is said that Mauryan forces had to hide in a cave. There was no food, and the soldiers were starving. They could not come out of the cave either, as there was a threat to their lives. Chanakya saw an ant taking a grain of rice, whereas, there was no sign of food or grain anywhere. Moreover, the rice grain was cooked. He ordered the soldiers to search and they found that their enemies had been dining under the cave. Indeed, they were eating at the ground floor. As soon as they saw this, they escaped and were thus saved.

My next Post will talk about Arthashastra and Chanyka Nithishastra

Hope it come well.

I am trying to gather as much information available…..and shall share with you all.
