Beer…..The most interested drink of the world….lets know some facts about it…

Beer’s been around since at least 6000 BC, which means that a lot of interesting things have happened concerning the golden beverage over the years…

Beer Fact 1:A diary record shows that the pilgrims on the Mayflower (who founded the colony that would later become the USA) actually intended to go much further south but when their beer supplies ran out, they decided they had gone far enough. Hmmmmm now we know what the motivating factor for some one to “Move Forward“…Hope my boss reads this and keeps me motivated…

Beer Fact 2: Beer is the 2nd most consumed beverage in the world (not counting water, of course). Guinness Beer alone sells over 7 million pints a day and it seems the alcoholic beverage comes second only to tea………Guys now its time show the loyalty and it is in our hands to make BEER No1.

Beer Fact 3: The beer bottle was not invented till 1850. In fact, till then beer drinkers would fill up massive buckets at local beer houses and lug them all the way home.…..Imagine you carrying couple of buckets…or your friends getting some beer buckets….Cool…Bottle shouldn’t have been introduced.

Beer Fact 4: The first civilization to brew beer was the ancient Babylonians. They took the job a tad too seriously though because if someone brewed a bad batch, their punishment was to be drowned in it.…..Hmmmm…”Spirit Full Death”

Beer Fact 5: Cenosillicaphobia is the fear of an empty glass……Hmmm this is best Phobia….

Beer Fact 6: Czechs are the world’s biggest beer drinkers, consuming an average of 160 liters a year. The reason is, as most things are, a monetary one. A bottle of beer costs the equivalent of Rs. 10 while even a Coke of the same size costs up to the equivalent of Rs. 30 in the nation. Beer is cheaper than bottled water…..Now that’s some party-friendly pricing policy-making!!!!! What say…..Be A Czech

Beer Fact 7:Ancient Vikings believed that a giant goat was awaiting them in Valhalla (Viking heaven) and this goat’s udders (milk source) would provide a limitless supply of beer……Hmmmm that’s the heaven we want! what say folks

Beer Fact 8: American beer guzzler Steven Petrosino still holds the record for the fastest beer drinking ever even though he set the record as long ago as in 1977. This is hardly surprising considering he drank an entire liter within 1.3 seconds…….Guys buckle up….nahhh Bottle up… unbroken record for 32 years..shame to this Generation Guzzlers…..waitinggggg for the new record

Fact 9: Brewed from actual Arctic ice, Antarctic Nail Ale tops all beer lists as the most expensive beer in the world. And at Rs. 32,000 a bottle, we’re far from surprised either. Only 30 bottles (sold only at auctions) have been produced so far and every single rupee goes to a charity that opposes whaling in the Antarctic. So far, only one bottle has actually been purchased……Hmmmm now we know why whales are killed

Beer Fact 10: In the 1940s PBR (a popular beer brand) conducted a massive study to determine what weight of beer would make it perfectly conducive for a housewife to carry home with her groceries. And thus, the 6-pack was born!…..

And before ending this….just want to quote Frank Zappa…famous American Music composer…You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline; it helps if you have some kind of football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Guys…..The idea is not to make you drink…..Plz plz be carefull while drinking…and have the legal age for drinking…..and Plz plz dont drive after you drinkkkkkkkk….Enjoy with Care…..

As per researchers from University of Arizona and Princeton……Yawning is meant to cool your brain….or regulate brain temperature…. So Yawning is not linked to tiredness……………………

The researchers found yawning is more likely when the temperature outside is less than the temperature of the brain….Their argument is that keeping your mouth agape helps regulate the temperature of the brain by exposing the roof to cooler air. Cooler brains have been linked to alertness, which might help explain why we yawn when we’re tired… cool

Nice Work…..Special thanxs to researchers of Princeton and Arizona…

AB’s Stroke: Now pple…if you boss ask why are u yawning ….You know what to say….Keeping the brain COOLLLLLLLLLL……… so guy’s chill and yawn a  lot to keep your brain cool…….and be called Yanniiiiiii

Let me talk about Tea…or Chai as what we call it ….do you know that After water, Tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world. It has a cooling, slightly bitter, astringent  flavour which many enjoy…There are at least six varieties of tea White Tea, Yellow Tea, Green Tea, Oolong Tea, Black tea and post-fermented teas of which the most commonly found on the market are white, green, Olong, and black. Some varieties, such as traditional Oolong Tea and Pu-erh Tea, a post-fermented tea, can be used medicinally.

Tea plants are native to East and South Asia and probably originated around the point of confluence of the lands of northeast India, north Burma, southwest China, and Tibet. Although tales exist in regards to the beginnings of tea being used as a beverage, no one is sure of its exact origins. The usage of tea as a beverage is first recorded in the Chinese classics Shennong Ben Cao Jing. It was already a common drink during Qin Dynasty (around 200 BC) and became widely popular during Tang Dynasty, when it was spread to Korea and Japan. Trade of tea by the Chinese to Western/European  nations in the 19th century spread tea and the tea plant to numerous locations around the world.

Now what are the benefits of Drinking Tea

Antioxidants effect. It is know that tea contains antioxidants, especially when we are talking about green tea. Antioxidant polyphenols activate the enzyme that is responsible for dissolving the excess of the triglyceride inside the human body. This means drinking tea is a good way for weight loss. Moreover, the antioxidants help the cells to repair and regenerate, slowing down the aging.

Anti-cancer effect. Many studies showed that green tea protects against lung, prostate and breast cancer. According to the Kyushu University, the antioxidant responsible of this it is called epigallocatechin gallate ( EGCG ) . Green tea can help prevent cancer and heart disease, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Tea may reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke. Unwanted blood clots formed from cholesterol and blood platelets cause heart attack and stroke. Drinking tea may help keep your arteries smooth and clog-free, the same way a drain keeps your bathroom pipes clear. A 5.6-year study from the Netherlands found a 70 percent lower risk of fatal heart attack in people who drank at least two to three cups of black tea daily compared to non-tea drinkers.

Tea keeps the human body hydrated. Beverages that contain caffeine dehydrates you and because of its low amount of caffeine, tea hydrates you providing in the same time the necessary amount of antioxidants.

Bones protection. Drinking tea regularly makes your bones stronger, has been discovered by scientist sustain that this might be caused by the presence of the phytochemicals in the tea.

Teeth protection. Tea contains fluoride and tannins which are responsible for reducing the plaque buildup and the tooth decay.

Lower blood pressure. Oolong tea and green tea can reduce the risk of high blood pressure 50% by only drinking half a cup daily.

Digestion. Tea is a very good and effective digestive used in China for thousands years now.

Stomach cramps. Red tea can act as an anti-spasmodic agent.

Bad breath Reduction. The antioxidant polyphenols found in tea keep under control the bacteria that causes bad breath.

Immune System. Tea drinkers have around 5 times the anti-bacterial proteins called T-cell which are helping the human body to fight against infections.

Tea is calorie-free. Tea itself has no calories unless you choose to add sweeteners or milk, making it a satisfying, low-cal way to wake up and maybe even shed a few pounds.

Tea increases your metabolism. Is a slow metabolic rate keeping you from losing the weight you want? Some studies suggest that green tea may be able to boost your metabolic rate slightly, allowing you to burn an additional 70-80 calories a day. While this may not seem like much, over time it could add up.

Tea helps keep your skin acne-free. The antioxidants in green tea may have an effect on acne, and in some cases have been shown to work as well as a 4% solution of the much more harsh benzoyl peroxide.

Tea has less caffeine than coffee. Coffee usually has two to three times the caffeine of tea (unless you’re a fan of Morning Thunder, which combines caffeine with mate, an herb that acts like caffeine in our body). An eight-ounce cup of coffee contains around 135 mg caffeine; tea contains only 30 to 40 mg per cup. If drinking coffee gives you the jitters, causes indigestion or headaches or interferes with sleep — switch to tea.

Tea can help prevent arthritis. Research suggests that older women who are tea drinkers are 60 percent less likely to develop rheumatoid arthritis than those who do not drink tea. The same effect has not been measured in older males, however, but additional studies may prove otherwise.

Tea can help fight the flu. Black tea may bolster your efforts to fight the flu as participants in a study who gargled with a black tea extract solution twice daily where more immune to the flu virus than those who didn’t.

Tea helps fight infection. Tea contains chemicals called alkylamine antigens which act similarly to some tumor cells and bacteria, boosting the body’s immune response. It has even been shown to have an effect on severe infections like sepsis.

Tea may reduce the risk of Parkinson’s Disease. New studies are suggesting that regular tea consumption may help protect the body from developing this neurological disorder.

Tea can prevent food poisoning. Catechin, one of the bitter ingredients found in green tea has been shown to effectively kill the bacteria which cause food poisoning and minimize the effects of the toxins that are produced by those bacteria.

Tea can lead to the inhibition of HIV. New research from the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology has found that a substance found in green tea may inhibit the HIV VIRUS from binding and can be a healthy part of a suppression regiment.

Tea may help prevent diabetes. There is some evidence to suggest that green tea helps lower the risk of getting Type 2 Diabetes, though future research is needed to confirm the association.

Tea can lower blood sugar. Tea contains catechin and polysaccharides which have been demonstrated to have a noticeable effect on lowering blood sugar.

Tea can prevent iron damage. Those suffering from iron disorders like haemochromatosis may be helped by drinking tea, which contains tannins that limit the amount of iron the body can absorb.

Tea can help with nasal decongestion. If you’ve got a bit of a cold, drinking black tea with lemon may help clear up some of the congestion that’s bothering you. Just make sure your body doesn’t become dependent on the treatment.

Tea can create a calmer but more alert state of mind. Studies have shown that the amino acid L-theanine found in the tea plant alters the attention networks in the brain and can have demonstrable effects on the brain waves. More simply, tea can help you relax and concentrate more fully on tasks.

Tea lowers the chance of having cognitive impairment. Research on Japanese adults who consumed at least 2 cups of Green Tea daily found that those individuals had cut their risk of cognitive impairment by half.

Tea lowers stress hormone levels. Black tea has been shown to reduce the effects of a stressful event. Participants in a study experienced a 20% drop in cortisol, a stress hormone, after drinking 4 cups of tea daily for one month.

Tea eases irritability, headaches, nervous tension and insomnia. Red Tea also known as rooibos, is an herbal tea that originated in Africa. It has been show to have many relaxing effects that help reduce a wide range of irritations and inflammations on the body.

Tea can cause a temporary increase in short term memory. Not feeling on your game today? Try drinking some tea. The caffeine it contains may give you the boost you need to improve your memory, at least for a few hours

A little cup of friendship
With a bag of tea
When you drink this
Think of love from me.
I wish we could sit down together
And have a cup of tea
But since we can’t
When you have this one
I hope you’ll think of me.

This one is my Fav

I’m A Little Teapot
I’m a little teapot, short and stout
Here is my handle (hand on hip), here is my spout (other arm out straight)
When I get all steamed up, hear me shout
Just tip me over and pour me out!
(as song ends, lean over and tip arm out like a spout)……………enjoyyyyyyyyyy

We all know about people going to Rehab camps, to get cured…or to overcome some of their addictions…mostly we see big Celebs….splzly Hollywood celebs going for rehab programs..or Rehab camps to come out of Drug or alcohol problems….

Now there is this interesting thing….A CHIMPANZEE….going for rehab…

We are talking about Zhora, a chimp in Rostov Zoo, Russia….Zhora has become addicted to smoking and an alcoholic after the ZOO visitors gave Booze and Cigarettes….Zohra has been unable to stop guzzling beer and smoking cigarettes, prompting officials to send the animal to a rehabilitation center…..hmmmm

Zhora had ample of supplies in the  form of zoo visitors who would bring him hootch and delight in watching him drink it. Zhora preferred beer to vodka. Zhora was a circus performer and was transferred to the zoo when circus people could not handle could not handle his aggressive behavior. They say Zhora would have  likely picked  up his love for booze and cigarettes  during his performance career.

Now the best part…Zhora was very popular with the ladies…..i mean Chimp ladies…. After comming  at the zoo, Zohra fathered several baby chimps……a real Casanova….Wine..Women….hgmmmmm

And Zoo keepers were requesting visitors not to give him anything…actually he was in  kept behind three different rows of fences to keep booze out, but the still managed to get to him somehow….cleaver….intelligent… So finally Zoo officals have decided that its enough and this Casanova Chimp was moved to a Rehab center in Kazan rehabilitation center which about 500 miles east of Moscow….

Lets all hope he is out of his Booze and Smoking habit, behave live a Decent CHIMP….

Most people in India know about Shani Singanapur, Shani Singanapur is a small village in Ahmednagar district where a famous temple of Lord Shani exists.Singnapur is 35 km from Ahmednagar city

Shingnapur is also famous for the fact that no house in the village has doors, only door frames. Villagers never keep their valuables under lock and key. Villagers believe that the temple is a “Jagruth Devasthan”  or  LIVE TEMPLE meaning that the god here is very powerful. They believe that god Shani punishes anyone attempting theft and there is no past records of any theft of robbery ever recorded in this Miracle village. And the locals belive that if there is a theft or robbery, then the culprit and their family have to bear the wrath of Lord Shani…..Amazing….More than 5,000 devotees visit the temple every day, while on weekends the number almost touches a lakh.

Now coming to why this article…In this month ie January, the United Commercial (UCO) Bank opened a ‘Lockless’ branch in the village, the first of its kind in the country, taking note of the near-zero crime rate in the region.

A senior Bank official of UCO ban said that they took note of the general belief and faith of the people. Ever since the most revered temple came into existence several years ago, the village has not witnessed a single crime. In fact, all houses in the entire village have no doors…..and adding to this they are going to set up ATM near the temple tooo in very short time…

The Local MLA Mr Shankar Gadakh, was the man instrumental in setting up this The First LOCKLESS branch….even as the Centre has made hi-tech security mandatory for all nationalized and private sector banks and no other bank has come forward…

AB’s Stroke: I had the privilege of visiting this amazing shrine twice, Lord Shani is powerful there, this is not only Jagurth Devestan..the Diety is also Jagurth Bhagawan……. This is a great step from UCO bank where many other banks have not don’t refused to do so….I hope no one will ever try to see and face the Wrath of Shree Shani Bhagawan….. I am not for believing some thing and i dont follow illogical traditions, customs and beliefs…..But i belive in God…in history….never ever in the Shani Singanapur a robbery was reported….So i belive that there is a super power which is gaurding  this amazing village…

World’s Tallest Tree

Posted: November 15, 2010 in Amazing, Triva

A redwood tree discovered in a remote California forest has turned out to be the world’s tallest tree. Named “Hyperion,” which is 378.1 feet and is nearly 9 feet taller than the former record holder, another redwood dubbed “Stratosphere Giant.

Researchers exploring remote and rugged terrain in the Redwood National and State Parks along California’s northernmost coast also discovered two other redwoods taller than the Stratosphere Giant, suggesting there had been many more massive ancient redwoods in the area, Sillett said. Some of those taller trees may have fallen to loggers, while the remaining ones were saved by a logging ban when the Redwood National Park was expanded in 1978.Officials would not pinpoint the exact locations of the trees out of concern that too many visitors could damage the delicate ecology of the mild, foggy slopes where the trees live.

So no exact image is avaliable…but still to have a idea…do find the image below
